Description
Read more Description (EN): INTERREG MED promotes horizontal projects, which main objective is to ensure the communication/capitalisation activities of the modular projects in order to increase their impacts towards common identified targets. In the case of the InnoBlueGrowth, these activities are focused on the S.O.1.1. “to increase transnational activity of innovative clusters and networks of key sectors of the MED area”.
It proposes concrete activities—a communication strategy, community building initiatives and capitalisation events, among others—to build a real community of modular projects, dealing with Blue Growth.
This innovative community will allow the reinforcement of the cross-cutting and integrated approach between modular projects and transnational key stakeholders, which is a sine qua non condition to support Mediterranean clusters in their transnational activities processes. Moreover, it will enhance the dissemination and transferability of the modular projects results and will consequently ensure a wider and deeper impact towards external multilevel stakeholders, contributing to the sustainable socio-economic development of the Mediterranean area through innovative investments in the Blue economy.
Besides, developed in parallel of the “platform project” of the Axis 4 of the Programme, InnoBlueGrowth will ensure a close communication and coordination with it. The benefits will reach not only the projects and programmes scales, but also beyond, at the Member states level.
Read more Achievements (EN): During the 5th period, the BG Community has continued its intense activity with the community and has intensified the capitalization work. All the BG projects have assured an active contribution to the community. The core event of the semester has been the back-to-back COMBUIL/CAP event which took place in Marseille the 16-17 April, hosted by Plan Bleu in the facilities of the Regional Council (Paca Region). The event, titled “Strengthening the Science-Practice-Policy Interface in Blue Growth” shared & identified better methods/tools for successful knowledge and technology transfer, based on the outputs of the Med BG Community. It represented a milestone for the capitalization process within the project strategy. Through the Science-Practice-Policy Interface approach (SPPI), this CAP/COM event offered the opportunity to discuss ways to strengthen the SPPI in the blue economy community frameworks, while highlighting the main outputs of BG projects answering this issue.Part of the discussions addressed more thoroughly the issue of training and education for the blue economy, which served as a strong basis to support the Blue Economy Summer School in July
19. The event gathered experts and key players from the Med regions, encompassing the public and private sector, international organizations and also the academia and the civil society. An intensive activity of communication has announced and followed the event and a video has been produced with relevant interviews to some members of the community. In the following months the partners have been busy with the elaboration of the COMB&CAP event report and with the intensive preparation of the BG Summer School starting at the beginning of July. A preparation meeting with MPs has taken place in Venice the 26-27 February. A call for participation has been launched. The didactic program and full agenda has been prepared and a call for mentors has been published for the selection of the mentors for the afternoon labs.Mapping of BG community was updated so to contain the new stakeholders contacts.Extra community activities: participation at thematic events organized by MPs or stakeholders (UoM in MADEinMED in Balkans in Sarajevo; NTUA in MAESTRALE event in Cyprus and Pelagos Final Conference in Athens, etc.)Morover IBG participated at PANORAMED Innovation experts meeting, WG: Coordination Meeting JS - PANORAMED/HPs and at events organized by JS and Panoramed in Thessaloniki (6-8 March) and in Marseille (6-7 May)
