Project - Designing a network of cOOperating cReative communities for developing a Sharing economy

Description

Description (EN): "open DOORS" is a proposal which actualizes the "transnational innovative clusterization" process realized within the MED capitalization experience. In fact this proposal is built on the heritage left by 5 capitalization projects which, as one result of the capitalization process, have produced a number of communities, networks and services dealing with creativeness and innovation as drivers for a smart and sustainable growth. Within the present proposal, a chosen number of scientific and institutional partners promotes the creation of a formal Mediterranean network, based on the existing innovative and creative communities, addressing the new global challenge of the Sharing Economy. The proposed Study aims to demonstrate how the Sharing Economy can be a driver of economic (business dimension, integrative incomes etc), territorial (subsidiary principle and new available local commodities i.e. transport, accommodation etc which cover public services' gaps) and social (civil society direct participation) growth. It also defines the network's joint strategy and action plan for offering a mix of innovative services to the creative local communities, enabling them to "open the doors" to new forms of collaborative economy. The established "open DOORS network" will be ready, in the next future, to test the innovative services and to develop real and concrete experiences of Sharing Economy.
Expected Results (EN): 1 To provide transnational services in the key sector of the Sharing Economy - : The main MED innovators which already experienced CAP projects are reunited in a unique network (the former innovation cluster) for exploring and further developing the new frontier of the global economy: the Sharing Economy. This transnational network offers to its members (the involved territories and the acting innovator actors) a mix of innovative services for realizing a systemic application of the SE according to the expressed needs. Specifically open DOORS creates the network and design the services to be offered (in the strategy and the action plan), after having analyzed the elements of the context, the market and the real needs of the territories (the study in all its parts). What changes, in comparison with the past experience, is not only the theme of interest (the Sharing Economy, instead of another field) but the way itself to deliver services, producing changes of culture, economy, technology and infrastructure, and then the overall system. This is in the revolutionary nature of the SE itself! Thus, in defining the target, the innovators, in the case of the SE, are not only the economic operators but also the local communities, the innovation centers, the public authorities and the single individuals through their new behavior towards the "market". The project listens to their needs and potentials and proposes suitable services for future development, in all the MED regions.1 To provide transnational services in the key sector of the Sharing Economy - : The main MED innovators which already experienced CAP projects are reunited in a unique network (the former innovation cluster) for exploring and further developing the new frontier of the global economy: the Sharing Economy.
