SHARING CHALLENGES, DEVELOPING SOLUTIONS FOR SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY IN THE MED. The capitalization and mainstream of results at transnational level has shown difficulties during the last programming period. When talking about sustainable mobility as a part of urban planning, the gap is even bigger in the Mediterranean, even if the classical city configuration of proximity could easily inspire a low carbon transport strategy. Using a specialized partnership as backbone of the working structure, GO SUMP will work to solve this gap by guiding and supporting modular projects as a community, to improve the visibility, capitalization and mainstreaming of their results through joint strategies based on synergies and networking. GO SUMP will act as a bridge among the Med Programme and projects, and the stake holders for their communication and capitalization through key thematic groups such as Civitas, Eltis ,the SUMP Platform or the Covenant of Mayors. By capitalizing good and especially bad practices, the horizontal project, will contribute to a unique identity on SUMPs in the Med cities enhancing its peculiarities as a key to implement low carbon transport & mobility measures.

PARTAGE DE DÉFIS, DÉVELOPPEMENT DE SOLUTIONS POUR LA MOBILITÉ DURABLE EN MED. La capitalisation et l’intégration de résultats au niveau transnational a présenté des lacunes au cours de la dernière période de programmation. En ce qui concerne la mobilité durable dans le cadre de la planification urbaine, les lacunes sont encore plus importantes sur le territoire Méditerranéen, même si la configuration classique de ville de proximité pourrait facilement inspirer une stratégie de transport à faibles émissions de carbone. Utilisant un partenariat spécialisé comme pilier de la structure de travail, GO PMUD travaillera en vue de combler ces lacunes en guidant et en soutenant la « communauté » de projets modulaires, et en vue d'améliorer la visibilité, la capitalisation, et l’intégration de leurs résultats grâce à des stratégies conjointes fondées sur les synergies et la mise en réseau. GO PMUD assurera le lien entre le Programme Med et ses projets et les parties prenantes, pour ce qui est de la communication et capitalisation, via des groupes thématiques clés tels que CiViTAS, Eltis, la Plate-forme PMUD ou la Convention des Maires. En capitalisant les bonnes et surtout les mauvaises pratiques, le projet horizontal contribuera à créer une identité unique sur les PMUD dans les villes Med, en améliorant leurs particularités en tant qu’élément clé pour la mise en œuvre de mesures pour le transport à faibles émissions de carbone et la mobilité.

Achievements (EN):

During the final implementation period, a large amount of material has been produced to contribute to complete the program requirements and the celebration in Málaga of the final event of the project, with the collaboration of all the UTC partners. Several objectives to be achieved were considered in this event. On the one hand, to bring together representatives of all modular projects, so that they could show the results and conclusions after approximately three years of cooperative work. The urban transport community created a HANDBOOK for sustainable urban mobility, where the GOSUMP partners, as well as all the modular projects have contributed, under the direction of MOBILITAS and the supervision of the Joint Secretariat of the MED programOn the other hand the capitalization of the results as recommendations for the new European policies has been carried out, focused at local, regional and national levels; as well as the preparation of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to be signed by all the Modular Project representatives and the Horizontal with the aim of pursuing their commitment in sustainable urban mobility planning and their involvement in the GO SUMP follow-up activities.Especially important has been to promote the active participation of MPs and their contribution in the CIVITAS and ELTIS communities, through the exchange of information, offering the opportunity to communicate at CIVITAS and SUMP conferences, bringing together European and Interreg Med initiatives.
