O risco sísmico é transversal ao sudoeste da Península Ibérica, transcendendo fronteiras. Os sismos causam impactos importantes nas crianças pelo que as escolas têm um papel vital no aumento da resiliência sísmica, em duas vertentes: a da vulnerabilidade estrutural; e a da capacidade da população estudantil em lidar com o fenómeno, antes, durante e após o evento. O projeto PERSISTAH propõe desenvolver instrumentos de diagnóstico, avaliação, gestão e reabilitação dos equipamentos do ensino básico, e material de apoio aos docentes, dando cumprimento ao Eixo 3 – Prioridade 5B e enquadrando-se nos objetivos das Plataformas Nacionais para a Redução do Risco de Catástrofes (PNRRC) das Comissões Nacionais de Proteção Civil de Portugal e Espanha.

El riesgo sísmico es transversal al suroeste de la península Ibérica, transcendiendo fronteras. Los terremotos causan impactos importantes en los niños por lo que las escuelas tienen un papel vital en el aumento de la resistencia sísmica, en dos vertientes: desde el punto de vista estructural y desde la capacidad de la población estudiantil de enfrentarse al fenómeno, antes, durante y después del suceso. El proyecto PERSISTAH propone desarrollar instrumentos de diagnóstico, evaluación, gestión y rehabilitación de los equipamiento de diseño básico, y material de apoyo a los docentes, dando cumplimiento al EJE-3 – Prioridad 5B y encuadrándose en los objetivos de las Plataformas Nacionales para la Reducción del riesgo de catástrofes (PNRRC) de las Comisiones Nacionales de Protección Civil de Portugal y España.

Description (EN):

The seismic risk is transverse to the southwest of the Iberian Peninsula, transcending borders. Earthquakes cause important impacts on children so schools have a vital role in increasing seismic resistance, in two aspects: from the structural point of view and from the ability of the student population to face the phenomenon, before, during and after the event. The PERSISTAH project develops tools for the diagnosis, evaluation, management and rehabilitation of basic design equipment, and teacher support material, in compliance with EJE-3 - Priority 5B and complying with the objectives of the National Platforms for Reduction of the risk of catastrophes (PNRRC) of the National Commissions of Civil Protection of Portugal and Spain.
