The cross-border Neusiedler See – Seewinkel/Fertö HanságNational Park has experienced 25 years of cooperation. A number of projects in the line of science, tourism and education has been successfully realized. Nevertheless, the majority of inhabitants is thinking of a National Park divided by political borders. Establishing the cross-border NatureEducationNetwork will support the idea of one park with no borders and strengthen the acceptance for all project activities. Maintaining and protecting those historically and ecologically important habitats also keeps and protects the valuable living environment for local communities. Project activities and workshops on different levels (for pupils, teachers/adults, residents and strategic partners) will raise awareness and thereby help to protect the unique habitats for the upcoming generations. The Information Centre in Illmitz serves as the coordinating basis for all educational activities within the network. The newly designed exhibition area and information displayed in three languages simplifies the common use and increases attractiveness to all visitors regardless of their language. In addition to the improved and updated Information Centre, the Csárdakapu Ranger and Education Centre in Balf mainly serves as the joint cross-border base for employees of the Neusiedler See – Seewinkel/Fertö Hanság National Park administration. Furthermore, it is planned to do use the location for cross-border workshops and activities as well. Both administration offices in Austria and Hungary will follow up on the legal framework for long-run joint ranger activities. The successful implementation of the program sets the cooperation of the administration entities (in Austria and Hungary) on a higher and improved level.

A Neusiedler See - Seewinkel / Fertő Hanság határon átnyúló nemzeti park 25 éves együttműködésre tekinthet vissza. Eközben számos projektet valósítottak meg sikeresen a kutatás, a turizmus és az oktatás területén. Ugyanakkor az egységes természeti tér gondolata még nem rögzült a regionális lakosság fejében. Az ezt a hiátust pótló, határon átnyúló belső és külső oktatási hálózatnak növelnie kell az egyetlen természetes tér tudatosságát, hogy az élőhely-megőrző és javító intézkedések könnyebben elfogadtathatóak legyenek. A történelmileg és ökológiailag értékes élőhelyek megőrzése vonzó környezetet biztosít a helyi lakosság számára is. A különböző szinteken (regionális iskolák, oktatók, regionális lakosság és stratégiai partnerek) végzett tudatosságnövelő tevékenységek növelik a megértést és hozzájárulnak a közös természeti tér megőrzéséhez a jövő nemzedékei számára. Az Illmitz-i Információs központ képezi a hálózaton belüli összehangolt oktatási tevékenységek alapját és központját. Ezen kívül egy háromnyelvű kiállítás könnyíti meg az infrastruktúra közös használatát. Ezt kiegészítve Balfon jön létre az egyetlen, a Fertő-tó nyugati partján működő nemzeti parki oktatási létesítmény. A Csárdakapu természetvédelmi őrszolgálati és környezeti nevelési központ mindkét nemzeti park alkalmazottainak közös bázisa lesz. Ezen kívül határon átnyúló környezeti nevelési tevékenységet is folytatnak majd itt. Ezzel egyidejűleg megteremtik a közös területi felügyelet és a közös természetvédelem jogi és szervezeti kereteit. E program sikeres megvalósítása a nemzeti park igazgatóságok együttműködését új szintre emeli.

Der grenzüberschreitende Nationalpark Neusiedler See – Seewinkel/Fertő Hanság blickt auf eine 25-jährige Zusammenarbeit zurück. Dabei wurden Projekte in den Bereichen Forschung, Tourismus und Bildung erfolgreich umgesetzt. Dennoch ist der Gedanke des einheitlichen Naturraumes nicht in den Köpfen der regionalen Bevölkerung verankert. Das geplante grenzüberschreitende interne und externe Bildungsnetzwerk soll diesen Mangel beseitigen und das Bewusstsein für den einen Naturraum schärfen, damit lebensraumerhaltende und –verbessernde Maßnahmen leichter akzeptiert werden. Der Erhalt der historisch und ökologisch wertvollen Lebensräumesichert ein attraktives Lebensumfeld auchfür die ansässige Bevölkerung. Bewusstseinsbildende Maßnahmen auf verschiedenen Ebenen (regionale Schulen, Pädagogen, Regionalbevölkerung und strategische Partner) erhöhen das Verständnis und bewahren den gemeinsamen Naturraum für nachkommende Generationen. Das Informationszentrum in Illmitz wird dabei zur Basis und Drehscheibe für die koordinierten Bildungsaktivitäten innerhalb des Netzwerks. Eine dreisprachig gestaltete Ausstellung ermöglicht darüber hinaus die gemeinsame Nutzung der Infrastruktur. Ergänzend dazu entsteht in Balf die einzige Nationalpark-Bildungseinrichtung am Westufer des Neusiedler Sees. Das „Csárdakapu Gebietsbetreuungs- und Naturbildungszentrum“ wird zur gemeinsamen Basis für Mitarbeiter beider Nationalparkverwaltungen. Zusätzlich werden hier grenzüberschreitende Umweltbildungsaktivitäten abgehalten. Gleichzeitig werden die rechtlichen und organisatorischen Rahmenbedingungen für die gemeinsame Gebietsaufsicht geklärt, um den gemeinsamen Gebietsschutz durchzuführen. Die erfolgreiche Umsetzung dieses Programms hebt die Kooperation der Nationalparkverwaltungen auf eine neue Ebene.

Expected Outputs (DE): Die koordinierten Naturbildungsaktivitäten und die Einführung einer gemeinsamen Gebietsbetreuung tragen zum grenzüberschreitenden Management von N2000-Gebieten der Neusiedler See Region und zur Stabilisierung und Verbesserung des Erhaltungsgrades bei.
