Description (DE): Ziel des Projektes ist die Steigerung der Attraktivität der Region durch die bessere touristische Nutzung der geologischen Attraktionen beiderseits der Grenze und durch gemeinsame Marketingmaßnahmen. Mit dem Projekt sollte ein Grundstein für die Etablierung eines grenzüberschreitenden geotouristischen Produktes gelegt werden. Das Projekt wird im Lausitzer Findlingspark Nochten und in der Gemeinde Lwówek Śląski, die für den Achat bekannt ist. Hier sollten multimediale Dauerausstellungen zur Präsentation des geologischen Erbes eingerichtet werden. Zusätzlich wird das zweisprachige touristische Angebot durch Informationstafeln im Findlingspark, Druck eines Parkplanes, Übersetzung der Internetseite und Entwicklung einer mobilen App mit Audioguide verbessert. Die schon früher organisierten thematische Veranstaltungen - Tag der Steine im Findlingspark und Achatsommer in Löwenberg sollten jetzt deutsch-polnisch ausgerichtet werden und für die Popularisierung von geologischen Attraktionen der ganzen Region genutzt werden.
Read more Description (EN): The purpose of the project is to improve attractiveness of the region through geological attractions on either side of the border advertised by marketing actions. Performance of the project will become grounds for cross-border development of the geoturism product. The project will be carried out in the Łużyce Park of Erratics Nochten and in commune Lwówek Śląski known e.g. for deposits of agate stones. Permanent multimedia exhibitions presenting geological riches will be set up there. In addition, the bilingual tourist offer will be improved through provision of information boards in the Park of Erratics, printing the park plans, creation of a website and of a mobile application with an audio guide. The previously held thematic events - the Boulder Day in the Park of Erratics and the Agate Summer in Lwówek Śląski will be carried out as Polish-German events and will be used to popularise geological attractions in the entire region.

Projekt będzie realizowany w Łużyckim Parku Głazów Narzutowych Nochten oraz w gminie Lwówek Śląski, która znana jest m.in. ze złóż agatów. Tu powstaną stałe wystawy multimedialne prezentujące bogactwo geologiczne. Ponadto ulepszona zostanie dwujęzyczna oferta turystyczna dzięki powstaniu tablic informacyjnych w Parku Głazów Narzutowych, wydrukowaniu planów parku, stworzeniu strony internetowej i mobilnej aplikacji z audio przewodnikiem. Organizowane wcześniej imprezy tematyczne - Dzień Kamienia w Parku Głazów Narzutowych i Lato Agatowe w Lwówku Śląskim będą przeprowadzone jako imprezy polsko-niemieckie i posłużą do popularyzacji atrakcji geologicznych całego regionu.
Read more Achievements (DE): Faszinierende Felsformationen, seltene Minerale, alte Granitbrüche und Gletscherspuren: das sind nur einige der zahlreichen geologischen Schätze der Oberlausitz und Niederschlesiens, die die Inspiration zur Umsetzung des Projekts bildeten. Ziel des Vorhabens war es somit, die einzigartigen geologischen Besonderheiten der deutsch-polnischen Grenzregion, vor allem des Lausitzer Findlingsparks in Nochten und der für ihre Achatvorkommen bekannte Stadt und Gemeinde Lwówek Śląski, besser und gezielt für eine Steigerung der touristischen Attraktivität der Region sowie der Schaffung eines spannenden Angebots zu nutzen.
Die beiden wichtigsten Maßnahmen im Rahmen des Projekts bildeten die Einrichtung zweier multimedialer Dauerausstellungen (in Deutsch und Polnisch), die sowohl der Präsentation der geologischen Vielfalt im Findlingspark in Nochten sowie der Vielfalt der Naturräume in der Gemeinde Lwówek Śląski dienen, sowie die Organisation zweier grenzüberschreitender Thementage: dem „Sommer des Achats“ in Lwówek Śląski (2018) sowie dem „Tag der Steine“ in Nochten (2019).
Das Tourismusangebot im Findlingspark in Nochten wurde um neu gestaltete Informationstafeln und die Internetauftritte des Findlingsparks erweitert, herausgegeben wurde eine App mit Audioguide (in deutscher, polnischer und tschechischer Sprache); all dies trug zu einer Erhöhung der Zugänglichkeit des Parks bei.
Mit der Anbindung von Nochten und Lwówek Śląski an das Radwegenetz in der Region gewannen beide Ortschaften an Attraktivität. Im Rahmen dreier Geo-Workshops konnte ein Konzept zur Zusammenarbeit im Bereich Schaffung eines grenzüberschreitenden geotouristischen Angebots vorgelegt werden.
Das Projekt leistete einen enormen Beitrag zur Erweiterung des Tourismusangebots in der Region: es wurde um zahlreiche neue Produkte bereichert und die Nachfrage konnte verbessert werden, da mehrsprachige Materialien zum Einsatz gelangten. Die geologischen Schätze des Grenzraums gewannen an Wiedererkennungswert, und mit dem Konzept, diese Produkte miteinander zu verbinden sowie der Koordination entsprechender Marketingmaßnahmen konnte eine sehr gute Grundlage für die weitere Entwicklung eines grenzüberschreitenden geotouristischen Produkts geschaffen werden.
Read more Achievements (EN): Fascinating rock formations, rare minerals, ancient granite quarries and glacier tracks: these are just some of the numerous geological treasures of Upper Lusatia and Lower Silesia, which were the inspiration for the implementation of the project. The aim of the project was thus to use the unique geological characteristics of the German-Polish border region, especially the Lusatian Findling Park in Nochten and the town and municipality of Lwówek Śląski, known for its agate reserves, to increase the tourist attractiveness of the region and to create an exciting offer.
The two main activities of the project were the establishment of two permanent multimedia exhibitions (in German and Polish) both for the presentation of geological diversity in the Findlingspark in Nochten and the diversity of natural spaces in the municipality of Lwówek Śląski, as well as the organisation of two cross-border thematic days: the “Summer of the Achat” in Lwówek Śląski (2018) and the “Day of the Stones” in Nochten (2019).
The tourism offer in the Findlingspark in Nochten has been expanded to include newly designed information boards and the websites of the Findlingspark, an app with audio guide (in German, Polish and Czech); all this contributed to an increase in the accessibility of the park.
With the connection of Nochten and Lwówek Śląski to the cycling network in the region, both towns became more attractive. In three geo-workshops, a concept for cooperation on the creation of a cross-border geotourist offer was presented.
The project made an enormous contribution to the expansion of tourism in the region: it has been enriched with numerous new products and demand has been improved as multilingual materials were used. The geological treasures of the border area gained recognition value, and with the concept of combining these products and coordinating appropriate marketing measures, it was possible to create a very good basis for the further development of a cross-border geotourist product.

Expected Results (DE): Die Region Oberlausitz und Niederschlesien verfügt über geologische Attraktionen und hat das Potenzial zur Entwicklung eines grenzüberschreitenden Geotourismus. Mit dem Projekt wird ein Grundstein für die dauerhafte Etablierung des grenzüberschreitenden Geotourismus gelegt. Erste gemeinsame Angebote werden entwickelt und wichtige Marketingmaßnahmen durchgeführt.
Geologische Erbe der Region wird auf eine attraktive und moderne Weise in zwei multimedialen Ausstellungen präsentiert. Um das geologische Erbe der Region darzustellen sind auch zwei thematische open air Veranstaltungen - Achatesommer in Löwenberg und der Tag der Steine in Nochten geplant.
Diese Maßnahmen richten sich an die Einwohner des Dreiländerecks und die Touristen.
Zur Erhöhung der Attraktivität der Region wird auch die bessere touristische Erschließung des bis jetzt nur deutschsprachigen Findlingsparks beitragen (3-sprachige Beschilderung, Internetseite, mobile Applikation mit einer Audioführung).
Um die deutsch-polnische Zusammenarbeit zur Vermarktung von Geo-Schätzen lebendig zu gestalten, auf die Bedürfnisse der einzelnen Einrichtungen auszurichten und dauerhaft in der Region zu etablieren werden 3 Workshops organisiert, deren Ergebnis in einer Strategie für weitere Entwicklung des Projektidee zusammengefasst wird.

Read more Expected Results (EN): The region of Górne Łużyce and Lower Silesia is rich in geological attractions which is reflected by the capacity of cross-border development of geoturism. Performance of this project will create grounds for permanent implementation of such type of tourism. First joint offers are planned, together with performance of significant marketing actions.
Two multimedia exhibitions will present geological riches of the region in an attractive and unique manner. In order to present the region's geological heritage, two outdoor geological events are planned - the Lwówek Agate Summer and the Boulder Day in Nochten.
These activities are intended for the borderland inhabitants and tourists.
The region's attractiveness will be improved by way of enhanced promotional offer of the Park of Erratics, which was only made in German to date, to which effect markings in 3 languages are planned for the park's plan, a website, and a mobile application with an audio guide. In order to invigorate Polish-German co-operation in the promotion of geo treasures, to adapt it to the needs of particular institutions, and to embed it in the region as a tourist product having a supranational reach, 3 workshops are planned, the outcome of which will be contained in the strategy of further project development. The marketing actions planned within the project, including in the press, the Internet, radio, on TV, are to stimulate interest in the region.

Działania te skierowane są do mieszkańców oraz turystów obszaru pogranicza.
Do podniesienia atrakcyjności regionu przyczyni się również poprawa oferty promocyjnej do tej pory wyłącznie niemieckojęzycznego Parku Głazów Narzutowych, w tym celu zaplanowano oznakowanie w 3 językach: planu parku, strony internetowej, aplikacji mobilnej z audio przewodnikiem. Aby ożywić współpracę polsko-niemiecką w promocji geoskarbów, dostosować ją do potrzeb poszczególnych instytucji oraz na stałe osadzić w regionie jako produkt turystyczny o zasięgu ponadnarodowym zaplanowano zorganizowane 3 warsztatów, których rezultaty zawarte będą w strategii dalszego rozwoju idei projektu. Zaplanowane w projekcie działania marketingowe, w tym w prasie, internecie, radiu i telewizji mają na celu wzrost zainteresowania regionem.
