Description (EN): The project scope covers building two sections of bike paths, marking and developing the new bike trail “Łużyce-Bory”, and modernising the “August-Bebel-Park” on the “Frog Path" bike route on the Saxon side and in the protected area. These elements constitute an integral whole, as it will be possible to follow the “Łużyce-Bory” trail in order to reach the railway station in Bolesławiec, and continue to the “Frog Path” that runs through the park in Bernsdorf. These actions, in conjunction with a mobile application, website pages, and maps will lead to popularisation of the knowledge of the region's natural and cultural heritage. Cross-border events will enable closer Polish-German co-operation and integration of the borderland communities.

Diese Bestandteile werden durch den direkten Zugang auf dem Radweg „Lausitz - Heide“ zu dem Bahnhof in Bolesławiec und von dort aus auf den „ Froschradweg“ zum Park in Bernsdorf vereint. Diese Aktivitäten sowie die mobile App, Websites und Karten verbreiten das Wissen über das natürliche und kulturelle Erbe der Region. Die Organisation grenzüberschreitender Veranstaltungen ermöglicht eine engere deutsch-polnische Zusammenarbeit und die Integration der Bevölkerung des Grenzlandes.
Read more Achievements (EN): The project developed the infrastructure on natural and cultural routes of the border area. In addition, it popularised and used the potential of the routes for the implementation of joint projects and for the promotion of the region of the Saxon-Polish border area. A comprehensive offer for cycling tourism has been developed, based on both infrastructure and advertising measures.
As part of the activities carried out, two cycle sections were built on the territory of the municipality of Bolesławiec (Section Kruszyn-Łaziska with a length of 3.625 km) and the municipality of Warta Bolesławiecka (3.33 km) running on a closed railway dam. The improvement of the cycle route has been successfully completed with the establishment of rest areas with benches, trash cans and bicycle racks (in the municipalities of Bolesławiec, Warta Bolesławiecka, Osiecznica). Bilingual information boards (in addition to the territory of the municipality of Bolesławiec) were also set up as well as markings of the entire route (with a length of over 62 km).
The city park located in Germany, in the course of the existing “Frog Cycle Path”, in the landscape conservation area “Bernsdorfer Teichlandschaft”, has been modernised and received new interesting elements: an educational trail, new recreational facilities (rest area, viewing platform) as well as the signposting of the area in the form of information boards, including descriptions of the long-lived trees on the park grounds.
The project was also based on information measures, thanks to which a bilingual website luzycebory.pl and a mobile app about the natural and cultural heritage of the project area and the offer for cyclists were developed. Promotional materials (tourism maps) were developed, joint publicity and cultural events, including cycling races, family and cycling picnics, also took place.

Darüber hinaus popularisierte und nutzte es das Potential der Routen für die Umsetzung gemeinsamer Vorhaben und für die Bewerbung der Region des sächsisch-polnischen Grenzraums. Ein umfassendes Angebot für den Radtourismus wurde entwickelt, das sowohl auf Infrastruktur- als auch auf Werbemaßnahmen basiert.
Im Zuge der durchgeführten Maßnahmen wurden zwei Radwegabschnitte auf dem Gebiet der Gemeinde Bolesławiec (Abschnitt Kruszyn-Łaziska mit einer Länge von 3,625 km) und der Gemeinde Warta Bolesławiecka (3,33 km) gebaut, die auf einem stillgelegten Eisenbahndamm verlaufen. Die Ertüchtigung des Verlaufs der Fahrradroute wurde mit der Einrichtung von Rastplätzen mit Bänken, Abfalleimern und Fahrradständern (in den Gemeinden Bolesławiec, Warta Bolesławiecka, Osiecznica) erfolgreich abgeschlossen. Es wurden auch zweisprachige Informationstafeln (zusätzlich auf dem Gebiet der städtischen Gemeinde Bolesławiec) aufgestellt sowie Markierungen des gesamten Verlaufs der Route (mit einer Länge von über 62 km) ausgeführt.
Der in Deutschland, im Verlauf des vorhandenen „Froschradwegs”, im Landschaftsschutzgebiet „Bernsdorfer Teichlandschaft” befindliche Stadtpark wurde modernisiert und erhielt neue interessante Elemente: einen Lehrpfad, neue Freizeitanlagen (Rastplatz, Aussichtsplattform) sowie die Beschilderung des Gebiets in Form von Informationstafeln u. a. mit Beschreibungen der auf dem Parkgelände befindlichen langlebigen Bäume.
Das Projekt beruhte auch auf Informationsmaßnahmen, dank denen eine zweisprachige Internetseite luzycebory.pl sowie eine mobile App über das Natur- und Kulturerbe des Projektgebiets und das Angebot für Radtouristen entwickelt wurden. Werbematerialien (Tourismuskarten) wurden erarbeitet, gemeinsame Publizitäts- und Kulturveranstaltungen, u. a. Radrennen, Familien- und Radpicknicks fanden ebenfalls statt.
