Description (FR): La production énergétique des chaufferies bois collectives a doublé en 6 ans et représente actuellement 4400 chaufferies bois sur la zone FMA. Le parc doit encore doubler d’ici 2030 pour atteindre les objectifs de développement des énergies renouvelables fixés par l’Union Européenne. Des audits d’installations mettent en avant qu’un meilleur pilotage des installations permettrait d’améliorer l’efficacité de conversion de l’énergie des chaufferies de 10% et de réduire les émissions de CO
2. Ce gain passe par une meilleure formation et motivation des opérateurs de chaufferies bois.
L’objectif du projet OPTIWOOD est une baisse des émissions de CO2 de 10% du parc de chaufferies bois, soit 6400 tonnes de CO2 par an et à terme, grâce au transfert, de 68 400 tonnes de CO2 par an. Cela contribue à améliorer la rentabilité des installations en économisant 1,9 millions d’euros par an à l’échelle du projet et à terme 19,6 millions d’euros par an.
Pour cela, AILE, SEWF, le Pays de Fougères et le Département 35 vont :
Concevoir un dispositif de formation sur l’optimisation des chaufferies bois (WP1) incluant des outils de travail innovants et adaptés aux besoins des opérateurs (ex : application) et un guide technique utile pour la phase de transfert
Tester ce dispositif sur 12 sites pilotes pour montrer comment améliorer l’efficacité énergétique de 10%, puis déployer la formation à 144 autres opérateurs (WP2)
Transférer le concept aux acteurs de la filière, opérateurs et prescripteurs pour atteindre 10% du parc pendant le projet et assurer sa pérennité au-delà du projet (WP3).
AILE, chef de file, apportera son expérience sur l’ingénierie de formation auprès d’opérateurs et sur la maitrise de la qualité du combustible bois. SEWF apportera son expertise en thermique et combustion et son retour d’expérience sur l’organisation de formations auprès de professionnels. Le Pays de Fougères, contribuera avec son expertise de maîtrise de l’énergie. Enfin, le Département 35, apportera son expertise sur la gestion de projets européens et le transfert des résultats.
La mise en place d’une approche commune se justifie car nous rencontrons une situation comparable, les chaufferies bois se sont fortement développées ces dernières années, les chaufferies collectives sont souvent exploitées par du personnel communal et le niveau de performance à améliorer. Il existe un manque au niveau de la formation du personnel de conduite de chaufferie.
L’originalité de l’approche tient à plusieurs raisons :
Le projet mesurera les gains économiques et environnementaux entraînés par la formation des opérateurs, ce qui renforcera l’intérêt des autres acteurs lors de la phase de transfertLa formation s’appuiera sur l’utilisation d’un outil interactif (l’application du CRER) adapté aux besoins des opérateurs et leur permettant d’être conseillés dans la conduite de leur installation.
Read more Description (EN): Heat generated through woodfuel installations has doubled over the past 6 years and currently represents 4,400 collective plants in the FCE area. However the sector needs to double by 2030 in order to meet the European Union’s renewable energy generation targets. Previous research has shown that improved management of woodfuel boilers would improve the energy production of the plants by 10% and reduce associated CO2 emissions. This improvement in management of installations can only be realised through improved training provision for operators.
The objective of the OPTIWOOD project is to reduce CO2 emissions by 10% for the collective wood boilers i. e. 6400 tons of CO2 per year and, in the long term, by 68,400 tons of CO2 per year. This will also improve the profitability of the installations by saving EUR
1.9 million per year at project level and EUR
19.6 million per year in the long term.
AILE, SEWF, the Pays de Fougères and Department 35 will :
- Design a training programme for wood boiler optimization (WP1) including an innovative toolkit adapted to the needs of operators and systems; along with an essential technical guide for the knowledge transfer phase of the project.
- Test this scheme at 12 pilot sites to show how to improve energy efficiency by 10%, and then deploy the training to 144 other operators (WP2)
- Transfer the concept to industry stakeholders, operators and specifiers to reach 10% of the collective woodfuel boiler installations during the project and ensure its sustainability beyond the project (WP3).
AILE will bring its experience in training operators and the regulation and monitoring of wood fuel quality. SEWFwill bring its expertise in woodfuel technologies and combustion; along with its experience in the organization of training courses for biomass system installation professionals. The Pays de Fougères will contribute with its expertise in energy management. Department 35 will provide expertise on the management of European projects and the transfer of results.
The implementation of a common approach is justified because there are many synergies in regards to our respective geographical areas and the woodfuel sector; woodfuel boilers have developed strongly in recent years, collective heating systems are often operated by municipal/site staff and the level of performance can be improved upon. Also in both regions there is a lack of training for boiler operators.
This project is unique in many ways:
-The project will measure the economic and environmental benefits of training woodfuel boiler operators and site staff, this will increase the interest of other stakeholders during the transfer phase due to its replicability.
-The training will be based on the use of an interactive tool (CRER application) adapted to the needs of the operators and allowing them to be guided in improving the management and monitoring of their installation.
