Le projet RENOVALT s’attaque aux défis actuels à relever en matière d’économie verte et de compétences à haute valeur ajoutée dans le secteur de la construction. L'offre de formation liée à la rénovation énergétique dans les régions visées y est insuffisante et ne répond pas aux attentes des professionnels. Le projet a pour objectif de développer une offre intégrée de formation en alternance liée à la rénovation énergétique du bâtiment. Le projet RENOVALT met en place deux modules de travail : le premier vise à améliorer l’adéquation entre l'offre de formation existante et la demande des professionnels au travers d’un benchmarking transfrontalier. Sur la base des résultats obtenus grâce à cet outil, le second module a pour objectif d'organiser conjointement, sur la zone étudiée, une nouvelle offre de formation en alternance. L'ambition du partenariat est donc de développer de manière conjointe une offre de formation transfrontalière en alternance favorisant l'intégration des marchés de rénovation pour les entreprises de la zone étudiée, tout en accroissant la fluidité et la mobilité des apprenants et travailleurs qui se forment dans des centres de formation. Enfin, une attention particulière est apportée à la reconnaissance transfrontalière des compétences acquises en vue de la pérennisation des actions du projet.

The RENOVALT project addresses current challenges in the green economy and high value-added skills in the construction sector. The training related to energy renovation offered in the regions concerned is insufficient and does not meet the expectations of professionals. The project aims to develop an integrated offer of work-linked training relating to the energy renovation of buildings. The RENOVALT project sets up two working modules: the first aims to improve the match between the existing training and the demand of professionals through cross-border benchmarking. On the basis of the results obtained thanks to this tool, the second module aims to jointly organise a new offer of work-linked training opportunities in the area studied. The ambition of the partnership is therefore to jointly develop a cross-border work-linked training programme that promotes the integration of renovation markets for companies in the study area, while increasing the fluidity and mobility of learners and workers who are trained in training centres. Finally, particular attention is paid to the cross-border recognition of skills acquired in order to ensure the sustainability of the project's actions.

Het project RENOVALT sluit aan op de huidige uitdagingen die zich voor de bouwsector en de regio's stellen op het vlak van groene economie en competenties met grote toegevoegde waarde. Het aanbod van opleidingen in energierenovatie is onvoldoende en beantwoordt niet aan de verwachtingen van de beroepswereld. Het project heeft tot doel om een geïntegreerd aanbod van leer-werktrajecten in de energierenovatie van gebouwen uit te werken. Het project RENOVALT stelt twee werkmodules voor. De eerste zal het, via een grensoverschrijdende benchmarking, mogelijk maken om het bestaande opleidingsaanbod beter aan te sluiten op de vraag van de beroepswereld. Op basis van de dankzij deze tool verworven resultaten heeft de tweede module als doel gezamenlijk een nieuw aanbod van leer-werktrajecten te organiseren in de onderzochte zone. Het partnerschap heeft dus de ambitie om samen een grensoverschrijdend aanbod van leer-werktrajecten uit te werken dat de integratie van de renovatie-opdrachten bevordert voor de ondernemingen van de onderzochte zone en tegelijk de doorstroming en de mobiliteit van de cursisten en werknemers die worden opgeleid in de opleidingscentra, verbetert. Tot slot zal er ook een bijzondere aandacht gaan naar de grensoverschrijdende erkenning van de verworven competenties, met het oog op de voortzetting van de acties van het project.

Achievements (FR):

Le projet PSYCHE a pour objectif la production de molécules de base nécessaires à la chimie (oléfines) utilisable par l'industrie chimique, à partir de déchets plastiques. Une analyse technico économique et une évaluation de la durabilité de la filière seront également réalisées. Lors de la première partie du projet (WP3), l'intérêt d'une technologie innovante de gazéification de différents flux de déchets plastiques sera démontré. A UGent (LCPE), différentes méthodes physiques et chimiques ont été étudiées pour le prétraitement des déchets plastiques afin d'élargir les options de leur recyclage. Ces méthodes ont été évaluées pour l'élimination de différents types de substances hétérogènes tel que les additifs, les pigments et les colles entre autres dans le but de délivrer une matière première pour le recyclage thermochimique aussi propre que possible. Une revue approfondie de la littérature a été réalisée à l’UGent (LCT). Celle-ci est en cours de révision afin d’être soumise pour publication. La modélisation et la simulation de gazéification des déchets plastiques ont été démarrées en créant un modèle 1D afin de valider le modèle cinétique disponible dans la plate-forme de simulation OpenFOAM. Ceci a été réalisé pour des essais de TGA pratiqués sur différents combustibles solides, tels que de la biomasse et des plastiques. Un modèle non réactif en 3D a été créé et est en cours de validation à l’aide de données expérimentales (profils de vitesses obtenus par des mesures de vélocimétrie par image de particules (PIV)). Un modèle réactif 2D a été créé et démarré pour la gazéification de biomasse. Celui-ci est actuellement modifié pour la pyrolyse et gazéification de plastiques. Pour valider les résultats de simulation, le réacteur Vortex mis en place au LCT a été modifié et la partie analytique a été améliorée. Celui-ci est actuellement adapté pour suivre les essais de pyrolyse et de gazéification de plastiques. A l’UCLouvain, la pyrolyse de goutelletes de plastiques dispersées dans une chambre vortex, est étudiée expérimentalement en utilisant des tests d’évaporation à sec et d’eau. La capacité à mettre en œuvre la séparation gaz-solides (cendres/résidus de char) est également investiguée. Pour quantifier la plus-value de la chambre vortex, la pyrolyse de plastiques dans des unités conventionnelles (tours de lavage et réacteur à réservoir à agitation continue (CSTR)) est simulée en utilisant des modèles 1D hétérogènes. La simulation permettra d’identifier les principales limitations de ces configurations. La seconde partie du projet (WP4) vise à la conversion catalytique du syngaz obtenu en molecules chimiques de base via un procédé Fischer-Tropsch. Le travail réalisé à CERTECH forme le lien entre les travaux de gazéification (UGent/UCL) et de synthèse FT (UCCS/UGent). Les objectifs de purification ont été déterminés en collaboration avec UGent et l'UCCS. En se basant sur la liste des différents contaminants existants dans les proceeds de gazéification et établi en collaboration avec l'UGent, les premiers contaminants à être investigués chez CERTECH sont H2S, COS,NH3, HCl, toluène et benzène. CERTECH a déjà réalisé des tests expérimentaux d'abattement de H2S, COS et NH3 par des procédés d'absorption en solution aqueuse à l'échelle laboratoire. Des essais d’abattement du H2S et COS ont été menés avec des charbons actifs fournis par la société Chemviron Carbon. Deux types de charbons spécifiques pour l’adsorption des composés soufrés ont été testés, l’un pouvant travailler en absence d’oxygène et le second en présence d’oxygène. L’influence de la température a été investiguée sur les charbons actifs. Une influence positive a été observée pour l’élimination de COS. Ils ont également été testés sur un mélange de COV. A côté des charbons actifs, Certech a testé des solutions aqueuses d’amines et solution basique de chloroacétate de sodium. A côté des techniques de traitement à froid, Certech s’est intéressé au traitement des composés soufrés par des ferrites de zinc à haute température. A l'UCCS, différents catalyseurs à base de fer supporté sur de la silice ou de la zircone ont été synthétisés ce qui permet l'étude de l'influence de différents promoteurs (métaux mobiles et métaux alcalins) et de différentes conditions de réaction. Le principal objectif de ce projet est le développement de nouveaux catalyseurs et procédés pour la conversion directe du gaz de synthèse (syngas) en oléfines légères sous conditions modérées de réaction (P = 1 à 5 bar). Le procédé et les catalyseurs seront optimisés pour le gaz de synthèse obtenu par la gazéification de plastiques utilisant une approche multi échelles qui commence par le design des catalyseurs, leur optimisation, les tests catalytiques, les expériences transitoires (SSITKA), et la modélisation des sites actifs déduit de la micro-cinétique. Les techniques de modélisation cinétique et l'approche de l'apprentissage automatique d'UGent procurent des informations uniques pour supporter le développement de nouveau catalyseur à haute performance. Le code SEMK (Single Event MicroKinetics), développé en interne, pour simuler la réaction Fischer Tropsch à base de catalyseurs de cobalt a été utilisé pour évaluer les performances (conversion et sélectivité) des catalyseurs à base de fer développé par UCCS. Le modèle d'évènement unique a été utilisé pour analyser l'impact de l'enthalpie d'adsorption chimique des atomes sur les cinétiques de reaction. Plus particulièrement, les réseaux neuronaux ont été utilisés comme méthodologie d’apprentissage automatique, en complément des simulations microcinétiques à évènement unique (SEMK), des effets des conditions opératoires sur les performances catalytiques A cet égard, l’interprétabilité du modèle ML a été analysée. Les effets des conditions opératoires sur la sélectivité des oléfines légères est analysée par SEMK. Ceci est suivi par comparaison de différentes méthodes d’apprentissage automatique dans sa capacité de prédiction avec SMEK. L’étendue avec laquelle les modèles d’apprentissage automatique sont capables d’identifier les principales tendances (conversion non linéaire/sélectivité en fonction des variables du procédé) dans les données de cinétique chimique est étudiée. Un conseil consultatif industriel a également été mis en place pour le projet, composé des sociétés Indaver, Suez, Galloo, Comet Traitements, Unilin, Recticel, Dow, Total Feluy, AVGI, Engie, Ematco et Ostend Basic Chemicals, Fost Plus, ArcelorMittal, Tivaco, Bonduele et Telene SAS. D'autres entreprises peuvent encore rejoindre le conseil consultatif. Une réunion de lancement a eu lieu avec le conseil consultatif industriel le 25 septembre 2019, au cours de laquelle une première introduction au projet a été donnée. Depuis, une réunion du consortium a lieu tous les 6 mois en présence du comité consultatif. Au total, 5 réunions ont déjà eu lieu avec le conseil consultatif (dont une réunion de lancement). A ces réunions du consortium, les membres du conseil consultatif et les partenaires associés reçoivent des informations de fond concernant le projet et ont la possibilité d'avoir une discussion avec les partenaires du projet. Dans le cadre du projet, un atelier annuel est organisé sur les différents thèmes principaux auxquels un large public industriel (y compris les membres du conseil consultatif) est invité. L'intention est de faire connaître le projet à l'industrie d'une part et d'avoir un ajout précieux de l'industrie basé sur leurs connaissances pratiques du cadre scientifique des ateliers d'autre part. Un premier atelier sur le thème «Traitement des déchets plastiques» a eu lieu le 8 mai 2019 à Gosselies lors des «Greenwin International Conferences Green Chemistry - White Biotechnology». Au total, 39 participants ont pris part à l'atelier provenant des 3 domaines de programme différents ou même au-delà. Un deuxième atelier sur «Gazéification et technologie des chambres vortex» a eu lieu le 14 mai 2020 via Microsoft Teams. Au total, 95 participants ont pris part à cet atelier. Un troisième atelier sur le thème «Purification du gaz de synthèse» a eu lieu le 10 mai 2021, également via Microsoft Teams. Au total, 86 participants ont pris part à cet atelier. Dans le cadre du project, une série de deux conférences invitées est également organisée chaque année pour tous les chercheurs intéressés des différents partenaires du projet. Une première série de conférences invitées (assurée par une personne extérieure à l'université), une sur la synthèse Fischer-Tropsch (Andrei Khodakov, UCCS), l'autre sur la gazéification (Juray De Wilde, UCL), ont été organisées le 14 mai 2019 à l'Université de Gand. Une deuxième série de conferences invitees a été organisée le 28 mai 2020 via Microsoft Teams sur la purification des gaz de synthèse (Lilia Ben Mustapha, Certech) et sur la technologie des réacteurs vortex (Kevin Van Geem, UGent). Une troisième série de conferences invtées a été organisée le 27 mai 2021 via Microsoft Teams sur la synthèse Fischer-Tropsch (Mirella Virginie, UCCS) et sur la gazéification (Juray De Wilde, UCL). Ces deux dernières series de conférences sont disponibles sur le site internet du projet PSYCHE en tant que webinaires et sont également disponibles sous forme de vidéos Youtube. Achievements (EN):

Renovalt aims to set up a new cross-border training course and additional training modules on energy renovation. In order to achieve this, an analysis of the needs of companies in the study area (Marne, Ardennes, Namur and Luxembourg) in terms of training on energy renovation is necessary and will identify the new skills to be mastered in this field. This needs analysis was organised in the context of cross-border benchmarking around a cycle of 4 round tables during which Belgian and French energy renovation professionals discussed the difficulties encountered in their daily practices. These took place from mid-November 2018 to mid-January 2020 and brought together more than 80 participants, mainly representatives of companies and design offices active in the field of energy renovation. In parallel with these round tables, an analysis of regulations and professional practices was carried out. These meetings were complemented by a survey sent by email to professionals in the sector in the fall of 2019 in order to reach a wider audience. The 43 replies received confirmed the results of the round tables concerning the difficulties faced by companies in their energy renovation projects and projects and the obstacles to training. These studies have enabled the drafting of 5 job sheets covering the following topics: — Transversal diagnosis in energy renovation — Materials encountered in energy renovation — Isolation, ventilation, air tightness — Digital tools — Coordination/communication In parallel, various steps have been taken around the future certification that will be issued at the end of the new training course. The CCCA-BTP and Constructiv (associated partners of the Renovalt project) drafted in collaboration with IFAPME and BTP-CFA two frameworks of activities, skills and certification assessment: — For the Walloon side: Coordinator (Technician) in energy renovation (diploma of coordination and management); — For the French side: Develop an energy renovation project (certification presented in anticipation of a registration in the specific directory). Both reference documents were finalised in June 2021. They will enable IFAPME and BTP-CFA to develop the new training pathways within the framework of the “cross-border alternance training” work module in parallel with the implementation of these training pathways, the two reference documents will also allow the creation of a cross-border technical guide for companies and for which a public publishing contract will be launched. In order to complete the implementation of the cross-border training pathways and the completion of the cross-border technical guide, the partners decided to use technical experts (FR/BE) who had to meet several requirements. A total of two design offices will be mobilised to carry out this work. The two design offices, POLY-TECH Engineering (Be) and ENERCOOP Nord-Est (Fr) were designated by public procurement and started the work of pedagogical engineering with the two training operators IFAPME and BTP-CFA Grand Est. In order to ensure the success of this project, communication actions were undertaken: — The production of a video highlighting the project, the various partners and the cross-border partnership. The objective is to have a communication support for the launch event and to present the project on the different networks: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hmeS3HR86nQ; — The creation of the website www.renovalt.eu; — Opening and animation of Facebook pages (https://www.facebook.com/Renovalt-190187318566795/) and LinkedIn (https://www.linkedin.com/company/interreg-renovalt/) — sending 3 newsletters; — The creation of the visual content of the project; — The organisation of a kick-off event involving 53 participants, in January 2019, in conjunction with a study trip; — Organisation of a second study trip in March 2020 with 16 participating companies; — The presentation of the Renovalt project at trade fairs or fairs in which the various partners participate; — The production of 1000 copies of a first flyer presentation of the new training course.

Au terme du projet, 24 travailleurs frontaliers bénéficieront du projet ; 23 actions d'accompagnement seront menées ; 25 formations conjointes.

Uitvoering van een grensoverschrijdende benchmarking voor de analyse van de technische en reglementaire evolutie van de energierenovatie; - voor de detectie van nieuwe professionele competenties die nog niet door het opleidingsaanbod worden gedekt; - voor de samenstelling en uitgave van grensoverschrijdende technische en vakgidsen. Samen een nieuw aanbod van leer-werktrajecten organiseren. Aanleg van de opleidingsgidsen en van de begeleidingstools voor grensoverschrijdend gebruik; - Uitrusting van de opleidingscentra van de projectzone. - Begeleiding en opleiding van het doelpubliek. - Grensoverschrijdende erkenning van de verworven competenties.
