Description (EN):

This project takes on the challenge of strengthening, improving, increasing and innovating recreational diving management. It aims for sustainability, cross-border integration and the consolidation of tools for monitoring, preserving and enhancing the underwater natural and cultural heritage. The project aims to create a cross-border network of underwater pilot sites with high natural and cultural interest; they will be managed and enjoyed sustainably and valued from a tourism point of view. The general objective is to implement a shared cross-border strategy for the management of underwater tours with high natural and cultural value for recreational purposes. All operations will involve economic and tourist actors and improved physical and virtual site accessibility. The results will be as follows: 1. Improved knowledge of the values of underwater sites and assessment and enhancement tools in the cross-border area. 2. Cross-border action plan for sustainable management and use of underwater natural and cultural heritage and tours. 3. Improved management of underwater sites with natural and cultural interest in the cross-border cooperation area. A shared approach will remedy the fragmentation of individual actions by site managers, which can only be effective within a cross-border context. The project is innovative because it proposes management and development systems that make use of the most advanced multimedia information technologies and address the issue of using natural and cultural heritage in an inter-regional manner.

La sfida di NEPTUNE consiste nel rafforzare, migliorare quali-quantitativamente ed innovare la gestione della subacquea ricreativa, rendendola sostenibile ed integrata nel territorio transfrontaliero, al fine di consolidare gli strumenti di monitoraggio, preservazione e valorizzazione del patrimonio naturale e culturale sommerso. Il progetto si propone di creare una rete transfrontaliera di siti pilota sommersi a forte interesse naturale e culturale, gestiti e fruiti in maniera sostenibile e valorizzati dal punto di vista turistico. L’ obiettivo generale consiste nell’attuare una strategia transfrontaliera condivisa per la gestione di percorsi sommersi ad elevato valore naturale e culturale, finalizzati alla realizzazione di attività subacquee ricreative. Tutte le attività e gli interventi saranno realizzati coinvolgendo gli attori economici e turistici e grazie al miglioramento dell’accessibilità fisica e virtuale dei siti. I risultati saranno: 1. Miglioramento del quadro conoscitivo degli elementi di pregio dei siti sommersi e degli strumenti di valutazione e valorizzazione nell’area transfrontaliera. 2. Strutturazione ed implementazione di un Piano di azione transfrontaliero per la gestione e la fruizione sostenibile del patrimonio naturale e culturale e dei percorsi subacquei. 3. Miglioramento della gestione dei siti sommersi di interesse naturale e culturale nell’area di cooperazione transfrontaliera Attraverso un approccio concertato sarà superata la parcellizzazione delle azioni attuate dai vari soggetti responsabili dei siti che, solo se riportate all’interno di una logica transfrontaliera possono realmente essere efficaci. Il progetto risulta innovativo poiché propone sistemi di gestione e di valorizzazione che fanno uso delle più avanzate tecnologie informatiche multimediali e si propongono di affrontare la tematica della fruizione del patrimonio naturale e culturale in maniera interterritoriale.

Le défi de NEPTUNE est de renforcer, d'améliorer, du point de vue de la qualité ou de la quantité, et d'innover la gestion de la plongée loisir, dela rendre durable et intégrée dans la région frontalière afin de renforcer les instruments de contrôle, la préservation et la mise en valeur du patrimoine naturel et culturel submergé. Le projet vise à créer un réseau transfrontalier de sites pilotes immergés ayants un fort intérêt naturel et culturel, gérés et exploités de manière durable et valorisér du point de vue touristique. L'objectif général est de mettre en œuvre une stratégie transfrontalière partagée pour la gestion des sentiers sous-marins à haute valeur naturelle et culturelle, visant à créer des activités sous-marines de loisirs. Toutes les activités et interventions seront réalisées en impliquant les acteurs économiques et touristiques et en améliorant l'accessibilité materielle et virtuelle des sites. Les résultats seront: 1. Amélioration du cadre cognitif des éléments précieux des sites sous-marins et des outils d'évaluation et de valorisation dans la zone transfrontalière. 2. Structuration et mise en œuvre d'un plan d'action transfrontalier pour la gestion et l'explotation durable du patrimoine naturel et culturel et des sentiers sous-marines. 3. Amélioration de la gestion des sites sous-marins d'intérêt naturel et culturel dans le domaine de la coopération transfrontalière Grâce à une approche concertée, le morcellement des actions mises en œuvre par les différentes gerants des sites sera surmonté, ce qui ne peut être efficace que si elles sont encadrées dans une logique transfrontalière. Le projet est innovant car il propose des systèmes de gestion et de mise en valeur faisant appel aux technologies de l'information multimédia les plus avancées et visant à aborder le problème de l'exploitation du patrimoine naturel et culturel de manière interterritoriale

Achievements (EN):

Neptune is over and thanks to “permanent expenditure” it was possible to carry out further measures and make the project even more complete! These include: the integration and extension of installations carried out by the various partners during the project, Reprinting of teaching materials, Monitoring of pleasure shipping, the production of a VR360° video and the establishment of an exhibition at the Genoa Science Festival , Dissemination activities.
