Les résultats attendus du projet à long terme sont tout d’abord une réintroduction effective de la tortue Cistude et la constitution d’une population de base pour la recolonisation de la Plaine Rhénane. Ensuite, la renaturation d’un milieu rhénan remarquable et la protection de l’ensemble du cortège floristique et faunistique lié à ce milieu. Enfin, la sensibilisation effective du grand public et des scolaires à la protection de la tortue et de son milieu naturel.

Langfristig werden folgende Projektziele verfolgt sind zuerst eine effektive Wiederansiedlung der Sumpfschildkröte und die Schaffung einer „Gründerpopulation“ zur weiterführenden Neubesiedlung der Rheinauen. Dann, die Renaturierung einer bemerkenswerten Rheinauen-Landschaft und der Schutz der gesamten, in diesem Lebensraum angesiedelten Flora und Fauna. Schließlich, die nachhaltige Sensibilisierung der Öffentlichkeit und der Schüler für den Schutz der Sumpfschildkröte und deren Lebensraum.
