Objectif général : L’objectif du projet IS-CE est de mettre en place une formation de très haut niveau dans le domaine de la chimie (synthèse organique et matériaux moléculaires) afin d’accroitre fortement l’attraction de la région Manche vis-à-vis des étudiants en formation dans l’ensemble de l’Europe. Le projet propose de faire converger les établissements impliqués vers un diplôme de Master et un Doctorat Européen en chimie. Le projet vise également à augmenter la visibilité́ des laboratoires de recherche concernés par l’émergence d’un label de référence européen « chimie organique et chimie des polymères ». Principales actions : - Formations scientifiques communes entre les partenaires des établissements et organismes impliqués. - Installation d’unités d’enseignements communes entre les établissements français et anglais par des échanges d’enseignants, d’étudiants et par un échange de doctorants. - Organisation de colloques, universités d’été et de réunions scientifiques pluriannuelles. - Mise en place d’échanges ou de co-tutelle de doctorants pour constituer un label de référence européen en chimie de synthèse et des matériaux organiques.

Description (EN):

Main objective : The main objective of IS:CE is to establish a leading scientific training programme in the field of molecular chemistry (synthesis and materials), in order to substantially increase the Channel region attraction towards training students in Europe. The project offers to help the involved structures creating common European Masters and PhD diplomas in chemistry. It also aims to further improve the visibility of the research laboratories involved in the development of a European Centre of Excellence for training and research in synthesis and organic chemistry. Main actions : - Setting up of joint scientific trainings between partners of the involved structures - Development of a joint portfolio of courses between British and French institutes, through exchanges of teaching staffs, students and PhD students - Organisation of summer schools, colloquia and scientific meetings each year - Exchanges and collaborative projects to constitute a European centre for training and research in synthesis and organic chemistry

Achievements (FR):

Principales réalisations / résultats : - Actions coopération - scientifique et formation supérieure : 65 personnes ont participé à une université d’été (Southampton – juin 2010). 200 personnes ont participé au Anglo-Norman Organic Chemistry Colloquium 2010. 10 échanges de conférenciers et 9 échanges de professeurs organisés. 7 étudiants anglais ont effectué des stages au sein de laboratoires français et 11 étudiants français dans des laboratoires anglais. - Flyers, plaquettes et affiches, diffusés lors d’évènements liés au programme et dans les établissements participants.

Achievements (EN):

Main achievements : - Scientific cooperation and higher training : 65 people took part in the Summer School of Southampton (June 2010) 200 people took part in the Anglo-Norman Organic Chemistry Colloquium 2010 10 exchanges of conference speakers and 9 of teachers 7 British students did their placement in French laboratories and 11 French students did theirs in British laboratories - Flyers, booklets, posters were distributed during project-related events and within the partners’ structures.
