Objectif général : Le projet NOBA porte sur la sécurité des systèmes d’information et a pour objectif de démontrer la faisabilité d’une solution d’authentification forte nomade basée sur l’acquisition et la fusion de données biométriques (empreinte digitale, voix, iris…) et le développement d’un démonstrateur. De nombreuses retombées économiques et sociétales sont attendues à l’issue du projet : renforcement des partenariats entre l’Université du Kent et l’ESIGELEC, naissance d’un réseau transfrontalier de PME, nouveaux services et produits autour de la dématérialisation pour de nombreux secteurs d’activité (télécoms, E-banking, E-administration, E-santé,…) et amélioration de la compétitivité des PME. Principales actions : - Réalisation de l’état de l’art. - Fusion de données et classification. - Conception de capteurs et de circuits électroniques de traitement du signal. - Intégration de la reconnaissance faciale. - Techniques de traitement d’images basse résolution pour l’extraction de données biométriques. - Acquisition de séquences vidéo. - Evaluation des traits caractéristiques et reconnaissance d’iris. - Intégration dans une chaine de dématérialisation. - Evaluation du système. - Etude de faisabilité sur système embarqué. - Apport d'autres techniques d'identification biométriques.

Description (EN):

Main objective : The NOBA projects studies the information systems security and aims to demonstrate the feasibility of a nomad strong authentication based on acquiring and merging biometric data (fingerprints, voice, iris …) and to create a prototype. A lot of economical and societal outcomes are expected towards the end of the project: stronger partnerships between the University of Kent and the ESIGELEC, creation of a SMEs cross-border network, new services and products in the field of dematerialization for several sectors (telecommunication, E-banking, E-administration, E-healthcare …) and improvement of the SMEs’ competitiveness. Main actions : - Realization of a state of the art - Data fusion and classification - Sensor design and hardware for signal processing - Integration of face recognition - Low-resolution image processing for biometric features extraction - Video sequence acquisition - Intelligent feature evaluation and selection for iris recognition - Integration in a dematerialization workflow - System evaluation - Feasibility study on embedded system - Added-value of other biometric techniques

Achievements (FR):

Principales réalisations / résultats : - Etat de l’art mené pour couvrir les points suivants : Etat de l’art sur la biométrie et la notion d’identité. Définition de l’architecture d’un système biométrique. Techniques d’amélioration des performances de reconnaissance par fusion de données biométriques. Etat de l’art sur les techniques de reconnaissance faciale. Etat de l’art sur les techniques de reconnaissance comportementale. - Intégration de la reconnaissance faciale : 1 état des lieux des méthodes réalisé. - Traitement d’images : essais réalisés sur une dizaine de sujets. - Travaux réalisés portant sur l’utilisation de la couleur, les techniques de segmentation et l’utilisation des données biométriques des deux yeux. - Utilisation de support visuels et projection d’un film de démonstration lors du salon Embedded World Nuremberg (mars 2010).

Main achievements : - Realization of a state of the art to cover the following points: State of the art on biometry and the notion of identity Biometric system overview Methods for improving recognition process by biometric data fusion State of the art on face recognition State of the art on behavioural recognition - Integration of face recognition : realization of a non-exhaustive study - Image processing: tests have been made on about 10 individuals - Realization of different works on the use of colour, segmentation techniques and the use of biometric data from both eyes - Communication via footage and pictures during the Embedded World Nuremberg (March 2010)
