Objectif général : Le projet NUIT BLANCHE a pour objectif de valoriser de manière conjointe et durable l’offre culturelle et touristique de deux métropoles urbaines : Brighton et Amiens. Déclinant le concept initié par la ville de Paris, une "Nuit Blanche" sera organisée chaque année, au mois d'octobre de part et d'autre de la Manche (Brighton et Amiens), avec pour objectif d'offrir au public des performances sonores, visuelles et chorégraphiques, des concerts, expositions, dans des lieux significatifs au sein des villes. Les programmations artistiques et de communication seront notamment conçues pour cibler des publics défavorisés. Principales actions : - Organisation de 6 évènements « Nuit Blanche » : 3 évènements de chaque côté de la Manche.

Description (EN):

Main objective : The WHITE NIGHT project aims to enhance jointly and sustainably the cultural and tourist offer of two major cities: Brighton and Amiens. Inspired by the Paris-based concept, a “White Night” will be organised each year, in October, on both sides of the Channel (Brighton and Amiens). The objective is to offer the audience sound, visual and choreographic performances, concerts and exhibitions in meaningful places of both cities. The artistic programming and communication will be designed to target particular disadvantaged audiences. Main actions : - Organisation of 6 ‘White Night’ events: 3 events on each sides of the Channel

Principales réalisations / résultats : - 4 évènements « Nuit Blanche » réalisés : 17 octobre 2009 à Amiens : 6 artistes anglais présents. 24 octobre 2009 à Brighton and Hove : 5 artistes français présents ; 25 000 personnes présentes. 16 octobre 2010 à Amiens : 25 000 personnes présentes ; 25 artistes anglais présents ; 15 œuvres artistiques sur le thème commun « luminescence » ; 33 concerts ; 10 expositions ; 3 spectacles ; 30 octobre 2010 à Brighton and Hove : 40 000 personnes présentes ; 25 artistes français ; 61 événements ; 2 spectacles sélectionnés par les deux partenaires pour une diffusion dans les 2 nuits blanches.

Main achievements : - 4 ‘White Night’ events realized: 17 October 2009 in Amiens: 6 English artists attended 24 October 2009 in Brighton and Hove: 5 French artists attended; 25,000 people were present 16 October 2010 in Amiens: 25,000 people were present; 25 English artists attended; 15 major artistic works on the common theme ‘Luminescence’ ; 33 concerts; 10 exhibitions; 3 shows, 30 October 2010 in Brighton and Hove: the audiences reached 40,000; 25 French artists; 61 events; 2 artistic commissions selected by both festival performed in both festival.
