Objectif général : Le projet a pour but de valoriser les liens culturels et historiques existants des deux côtés de la Manche en facilitant l'accès et la compréhension de documents historiques clés. Le projet propose de développer une plateforme logicielle générique d’analyse d’images de documents, en s’appuyant sur les spécifications établies lors de DOCEXPLORE 1lors du précédent projet INTERREG DEI. Cette plateforme logicielle devra permettre de partager l’accès à des documents historiques, notamment des documents ayant un intérêt culturel pour les deux régions. Principales actions : - Exploration et développement des outils avancés d’analyse et de restauration d’images de documents. - Développement du module centralisé pour la gestion des documents. - Choix et indexation d’une ou plusieurs collections de documents historiques. - Développement d’un module flexible et interactif, dédié à la visualisation de documents historiques. - Mise en place d’une exposition thématique à la Cathédrale de Canterbury et dans les bibliothèques de la ville de Rouen.

Description (EN):

Main objective : This project aims to enhance cultural and historical links present on both sides of the Channel, by improving the access and understanding of key historical documents. DOC EXPLORE 2 offers to design an IT-based platform for document analysis based on the specifications established during DOC EXPLORE 1 the previous DEI INTERREG project. This software platform will give access to historical documents, especially those presenting a mutual cultural interest to both regions. Main actions : - Research and Development of document analysis and enhancement tools - Implementation of a centralised document management framework - Selection and indexing of one or several historical document collections - Implementation of a flexible, cross platform, historical document display system - Organisation of an extensive exhibition staged at the Canterbury Cathedral Archives and Bibliothèque de Rouen
