Main objective : The MAGIC MOMENTS project aims to use festivals and events to develop tourist economy in South East England and Normandy. In these regions, traditions, festivals and celebrations are indeed high-quality events attracting a large public, but they remain under-exploited on the other side of the Channel, from a tourism standpoint. MAGIC MOMENTS offers to provide a strategic, co-ordinated approach to developing and marketing Festivals and Events, taking some of the best elements, improving them and adding a significant number of additional activities, aimed at providing knowledge, skills and opportunity for both regions. Main actions : - Cross-border training and development: Training and best practice exchanges for both the Tourism South East (TSE) and Comité Régional de Tourisme de Normandie (CRTN) staff as well as the festival organisers, tourism operators and other related businesses. - Communication and Promotion: Implementation of a range of marketing activities aimed at consumers and travel trade in Britain and France. - Joint cross-border research group: study of the economic impact of festivals to create a baseline against which the success of the project can be assessed; Study on how best to use social media.

Objectif général : Le projet MOMENT INOUBLIABLES vise à utiliser les festivals et les manifestations pour développer l’économie touristique en Normandie et dans le Sud-Est de l'Angleterre. En effet, sur ces territoires, les traditions, festivals et fêtes locales sont de haute qualité et attirent les visiteurs, mais restent souvent peu exploitées d’un point de vue touristique de l’autre côté de la Manche. Le projet propose de développer une approche stratégique coordonnée de développement et de marketing événementiels, valorisant certains des meilleurs éléments et ajoutant des activités supplémentaires afin d'apporter aux deux régions connaissances, compétences et opportunités. Principales actions : - Formation et développement transfrontaliers : échanges de formation et de bonnes pratiques pour les personnes du Tourism South East (TSE) et du Comité régionale de tourisme de Normandie (CRTN) et pour les organisateurs de festivals, les professionnels du tourisme et autres entreprises. - Communication et promotion : mise en œuvre d’activités de marketing visant les consommateurs et les tours opérateurs en Angleterre et en France. - Mise en place d’un groupe de recherche transfrontalier : étude de l’impact économique des festivals pour établir une référence grâce à laquelle le succès du projet pourra être mesuré ; Étude sur la meilleure façon d’utiliser les médias sociaux.

Achievements (EN):

Main achievements : - 48 people took part in the cross-border study tours on Medieval Normandy - 14 persons attended the social media courses - 75 participants in the briefing events for festival organisers - 50 Norman from the tourism sector took part in a study trip in South East England - 504 000 brochures were distributed in South East England and Normandy - Realization of 5 media supplements - 3 newsletters realized for coach operators - 1 mailing targeting group travel organisers - 10 commercial visits to meet coach operators and tour companies in UK and France - 1 online annual cultural calendar

Principales réalisations / résultats : - 48 personnes ont participé aux éductours transfrontaliers sur le thème de la Normandie Médiévale. - 14 personnes ont participé aux modules d’initiation aux médias sociaux. - 75 participants aux briefings à destination des organisateurs de festival. - 50 acteurs touristiques normands ont participé à un voyage d’étude dans le Sud-est de l’Angleterre. - 504 000 brochures distribuées dans le Sud-est de l’Angleterre et en Normandie. - 5 suppléments médias réalisés. - 3 bulletins réalisés pour les autocaristes. - 1 mailing ciblant les organisateurs de voyage en groupe. - 10 visites de démarchage auprès d’autocaristes et de tour opérateurs en Angleterre et en France. - 1 calendrier annuel de manifestations en ligne réalisé
