Objectif général : Le micro projet COTE TO COAST a pour but d’étudier la faisabilité de la mise en place d’une offre touristique d'échanges de domiciles pour les personnes habitant à moins d'une heure de la mer en transport public sur toute la zone de coopération. Le projet propose ainsi de lever les freins budgétaires liés aux transports et à l’hébergement et de favoriser la pratique des activités culturelles et sportives ainsi que la pratique des langues pendant les séjours. Principales actions : - Etude de faisabilité : test des usagers potentiels par entretiens groupés en France et en Angleterre. - Constitution du partenariat : présentation du concept aux institutions ; recueil de leur intérêt et organisation d’un comité de pilotage sur la base des intérêts à développer le concept « Cote to Coast » à long terme. - Application informatique : définition et organisation des fonctionnalités du site internet d’exploitation du service « Cote to Coast ».

Description (EN):

Main objective : The COTE TO COAST micro-project aims to study the feasibility of the implementation of a home exchange programme for people living less than 1 hour away from the sea by public transport and within the cooperation zone. The project offers to remove the budget and accommodation obstacles and to encourage people joining in sport and cultural activities as well as practicing languages during their stay. Main actions : - Feasibility study: focus groups with potential users in France and in England - Creation of partnership: presentation of the concept to institutions; estimation of their interest and organisation of a steering committee to study the pertinence of a long-term development of the COTE TO COAST project. - IT integration: definition and organisation of the website functions

Achievements (FR):

Principales réalisations / résultats : - 1 benchmark des sites d’échanges de résidences réalisé. - 6 focus group réalisés en France et en Angleterre. - Entretiens réalisés auprès d’association culturelles ou sportives. - Entretiens réalisés auprès des professionnels du tourisme. - Analyses statistiques démographiques réalisées. - 1 comité de pilotage créé avec les acteurs ressources pour la création et l’exploitation du projet à long terme. - 1500 lettres d’information d’avancée du projet transmises aux personnes ressources ou déjà consultées dans le cadre du projet. - 1 synthèse réalisée des entretiens de focus group. - 2 témoignages filmés de préparation d’un échange entre deux familles, une française et une anglaise.

Main achievements : - Realization of 1 benchmark of the existing home exchange websites. - 6 focus groups in France and in England - Interviews of sport and cultural associations - Interviews of tourism professionals - Realization of a statistic demographic analysis - Organisation of a steering committee with the stakeholders for the creation and monitoring of the project in the long-term - 1500 newsletters distributed to stakeholders and people involved in the project - The preparation of a home exchange between a French family and a UK family was shot for the website
