Objectif général : Le projet IFORE a pour but de mettre en place une stratégie commune régionale pour la rénovation thermique de l’habitat social. Grâce à une approche sociale transfrontalière innovante, intergénérationnelle et participative, le projet permettra d’encourager l’économie d’énergie et améliorer les perspectives, savoir-faire, capacités à apprendre et parcours vers l’emploi des résidents, en les faisant participer à l’installation de nouvelles techniques d’éco-rénovation. Au lieu d’adopter une approche purement technique, le projet s’intéresse à l’influence des comportements humains sur la performance énergétique des logements sociaux. Le projet implique donc les locataires, les bailleurs sociaux, les entreprises et les communautés locales afin d’adapter les technologies aux comportements et d’assurer la pérennité des économies d’énergies engendrées. Principales actions : - Recherche des types de rénovations les plus innovants et les mieux adaptés aux logements sélectionnés et modélisation du comportement physique et social des occupants. - Préparation de rénovations et définition du réseau d’acteurs transfrontaliers pour les futures rénovations thermiques. - Définition d’un mode opératoire transfrontalier pour le suivi en locaux occupés et définition des programmes de formation des occupants et des parcours d’insertion. - Formation des résidents afin d’adapter leurs comportements aux éco-techniques installées dans leur logement. - Etude en locaux occupés pour mesurer la consommation d’énergie et la qualité de l’air et pour étudier les fluctuations dues au comportement des habitants. - Définition de la technologie optimale et de l’interaction comportementale. - Sélection et mesure de l’échantillon de logement des deux régions et étude des habitants.

Description (EN):

Main objective : The IFORE project aims to implement a regional joint strategy for the eco-refurbishment of social housing. Through an innovative, intergenerational and participative community approach, the project will promote energy saving and try to improve the tenants’ aspirations, know-how, learning skills and employment pathways by having them taking part in the installation of these new eco-renovation techniques. Instead of adopting a mere technical approach, IFORE studies the influence of human behaviour on social housing energy efficiency. Thus, this project involves tenants, social landlords, businesses and local communities in order to adapt technologies to behaviours, and to ensure the generated economy savings’ legacy. Main actions : - Research of the most innovative & appropriate upgrades to the selected housing, and modelling of the physical and social behaviour of the occupants. - Preparation of building interventions and formulation of the cross-border network for future eco-refurbishments. - Formulation of a consistent cross-border post-occupancy monitoring regime and definition of the occupant training programmes and inclusion pathways. - Occupant training to adapt their behaviour to newly installed eco-equipment - Pots-occupancy monitoring to assess energy use and indoor air quality, and to find the variation due to occupant behaviour. - Definition of optimal technology and behaviour interaction. - Selection and evaluation of an housing sample in two regions and occupant surveys

Achievements (FR):

Principales réalisations / résultats : - Solutions élaborées pour l’isolation et les systèmes de solaire passif, de ventilation et d’énergies renouvelables. - Tests d’étanchéité effectués dans les maisons à Outreau (Pas-de-Calais, France) et à Rushenden (Kent, Angleterre). - 1 étude réalisée mettant en évidence les types de logements les plus aptes à fournir une base claire de comparaison. - 1 étude détaillée réalisée des structures et types constructifs des logements et informations sur la consommation d’énergie et les profils des occupants.

Achievements (EN):

Main achievements : - Elaboration of solutions insulation/passive solar solutions, ventilation and renewable energies. - Realization of indoor pressure tests in Outreau (Pas-de-Calais, France) and Rushenden (Kent, England). - Realization of a study underlining the dwelling types best able to provide a clear basis of comparison - Realization of a detailed survey of house structure and construction, and information on energy consumption and occupant profile.
