La zona del Gran San Bernardo accoglie non solo attivita turistiche ma anche imprese che hanno significative competenze nel settore dell'artigianato, della produzione di energia e in servizi di base come i trasporti. I Comuni, valutando le risorse presenti nel loro territorio, intendono dare maggiore impulso a queste potenzialita nell'ottica di migliorare il livello generale di competitivita nonché di diversificare i settori produttivi ed i servizi Essi hanno ritenuto che gli investimenti nel settore energetico potranno produrre ricadute importanti in altri campi come il turismo, l'agricoltura, nonché dare benefici diretti alle popolazioni locali.
