V plánovanom projekte zúčastnený sa odhodlali k vedomej ochrane v oblasti životného prostredia a jeho okoliu. K začiatku minulého storočia život na vidieku a s tým súvisiace hospodárenie nemal negatívny dopad na procesy životného prostredia prebiehajúcich v týchto osadách. V súčasnosti už aj na dedinách sa vidiecka forma života drasticky mení na úkor spotrebiteľskej spoločnosti . Dôležitosť spoznania prírodných hodnôt nášho životného prostredia má výnimočný význam nielen v makro ale aj v mikroprostredí. Cesta k tomuto spoznaniu je aby sme v čo najväčšom kruhu mali vedomosti o našich prírodných hodnôt a stali aktívnymi ochrancami prírody. K tejto ušľachtilej úlohe je potrebné súdržnosť medzi územných celkov, ktorým ani umelo vytvorene hranice nemôžu prekážať. V rámci tohto projektu vytýčeným cieľom je vybudovanie potrebnej infraštruktúry pomocou, vybudovaniu návštevníckych centier, náučných chodníkov, stálych výstav.

A tervezett projektben résztvevők elkötelezettek a természetvédelem és a környezettudatosság terén. Az elmúlt évszázad elejéig a vidéki, falusi élet és az ezzel járó gazdálkodás természeti környezetre gyakorolt hatása ezeken a településeken nem befolyásolta negatívan ezeket a folyamatokat. Mára ez az életforma, még ezeken a településeken is drasztikusan kezd megváltozni, a fogyasztói társadalom negatív hatásai felé. A természeti értékek védelme fontosságának felismerése nemcsak makro-, hanem mikrokörnyezetünkben is kiemelkedő fontosságú. Az ehhez vezető út, hogy minél szélesebb körben ismerjük meg értékeinket, és váljunk aktív természetvédővé. Ehhez a nemes feladatokhoz térségi összefogás szükséges, melynek a mesterséges határok sem szabhatnak gátat. Jelen pályázatban az ehhez szükséges infrastruktúra kialakítását célozzuk meg, látogatóhelyek, tanösvények, élő kiállítások, segítségével, melyeket természetvédelmi hálózatban kezelve kívánunk bemutatni, és a terület genetikai szempontból értékes fajait gondozzuk tovább ex situ és in situ módszerekkel.

Achievements (EN):

The municipalities participating in the project consider nature and environment protection to be a priority among their tasks. They created cooperation with a civil association who was glad to support their initiation. The aim of the project was not only to enhance tourism in the area but also to involve the local population. The nature trails in Szente (HU), Diósjenő (HU) and Vinica (SK) serve this purpose. The trails are suitable for families with small kids. Older kids and adults can find useful information about the history and natural values of the areas concerned. The trails contribute to the environmental awareness education of the youth. In Szente and Diósjenő, two buildings were reconstructed into exibition and visitor centres. In Diósjenő, an exhibition was set up to show Hungarian traditions - the way of life, costumes, installations about the relationship of man and wood. In Diósjenő, the building serves as a visitor centre for tourists, as well as a community place for the local people.
