Description (EN):

The aim of this project is to strengthen the existing loose cooperation among Türr István Museum and basic cultural institute for ethnic minorities, the Inter-municipal Institute for Heritage Protection and the Subotica Museum significantly by develo pment of several joint public events and programmes of tourism importance and professional activities on the field of protection and sustainable use of common cultural heritage. The project activities planned to provide important results on three themes: 1. It improves the common professional work by 2 jointly organized conferences on built heritage, 2 seminars on new restoration methods, the restoration of 7 altar paintings (exhibition) and research on Baroque Bačka (2 monographs). 2. It inc reases the choice of cultural tourism programme offers by joint creation and organization of 6 cultural paths in two themes “Historical walks” and “Sacral memories of Baroque Bačka”. Also the shows of renovated and equipped restoration workshops, the travelling exhibition and joint electronic monument inventory serve this field. 3. There are activities planned for the youths in order to educate a “heritage conscious” generation, 14 creativity lessons for schoolboys and girls and 2 summer “herit age camps” for young adults to demonstrate the value of common effort and joy of common voluntary work. In order to maximize the cross border impact the project plans many meetings with the target groups and high publicity and communication through many media channels. They also prepare many printed and electronic material in Hungarian and Serbian languages. The project takes place in part of the eligible area, in Bács-Kiskun county and North Bačka.
