Description (EN):

TWIST promotes the investment in research and development of water management sector. Like so, TWIST allows the co-creation, experimentation, assessment and commerce of innovative technologies and products to treat waste waters. Through 3 laboratories, it treats, regenerates and re-uses waste waters. Furthermore, it boosts competitiveness and the efficient use of resources through the promotion of innovative public procurement, the TWIST market implementation to put in contact every water actor and training and capacity-building actions.

Expected Results (EN):

The principal objective of TWIST is to create new transnational and trans-regional associations between key actors in the field of water. The expected results are the following: 1. Creation and maintenance of the TWIST transnational partnership, representing 6 SUDOE’s regions. 2. Maintain and enhance at least 3 trans-regional nets in each country involved. 3. Create new associations between the TWIST partnership and other European initiatives. 4. 3 pilot actions of coordinated innovative public purchasing between the regions (one for each country). 5. Capitalization of the tests realised in the 3 TWIST I-Labs, guaranteeing the participation of at least 30 innovative SMEs in the activities of testing and training and the request of at least 10 patents and/or study of patentability. 6. Creation of a School of Transnational Business with participants from each country, including at least 3 educational training (1 for each country). 7. Contribute to the strategy Europe 2020 promoting investments in the field of Research, Development and Innovation and creating at least 10 related jobs. 8. Creating at least 3 new specialised companies. 9. At least 12 participation in specialised conferences. 10. Participation of politicians responsible at regional level in the field with at least 20 assistants in each national conference. 11. At least 150 actors of the Research, Development and Innovation field assisting the final conference. 12. Capitalization of the knowledge acquired during the process of elaboration of strategies of smart specialization in the regions.

Expected Outputs (EN):

TWIST STRATEGY: is accompanied by the financial plan for the priorities, identifying public and private sources. AdTA, PPA, CENTA, FUERM, OIEAU, IFTS are the responsible for each region to bind the Strategy with the key actors’ needs and guarantee its sustainability. L-LABS: Platform lasting over time. The responsible for the L-Labs CENTA, OIEAU, ISA/IST, and the users promoters of development are the ones who work in the platform. The net is open to new Centres/Groups of Research and Development through Agreements with specific conditions of sustainability. Metodology and pilot projects: the metodology is directly transferred in the Project (GT4 activities), guaranteeing its use for this and other sectors. The results of the Pilot projects are transferred in their action, involving public and private entities no users of TWIST. TRANSNATIONAL SCHOOL: is a international reference for the sector. FUERM and interested partners look for funding through training activities (no-profit) and projects (Erasmus+). MARKET PLACE: The website and the Market Place will be available at least for other 5 years after the end of TWIST. Managers: IFTS and CENTA give the managing of the website and other tools to an external server.
