Description (EN):

In order to improve the capacity to adapt to climate change at the energy level of the Macaronesian archipelagos and West African countries, the ACLIEMAC project proposes a series of actions that contribute to increasing their resilience. The main objective is to reduce the energy dependence of the outside so that, in the face of natural risks due to the effects of climate change, these territories are guaranteed access and supply of energy. To this end, a diagnosis of the current energy model will be carried out beforehand, analysing the risks and vulnerabilities to which they are exposed, in order to be able to implement concrete measures for their optimal adaptation to climate change. The project’s lines of action are aimed at promoting the exploitation of new sustainable economies (Circular, Blue and Low Carbon), adapt energy infrastructure to climate change and reduce the energy consumption of different sectors.

Con el fin de mejorar la capacidad de adaptación al cambio climático a nivel energético de los archipiélagos de la Macaronesia y países del África Occidental, el proyecto ACLIEMAC propone una serie de acciones que contribuyan a aumentar su resiliencia. El objetivo principal se centra en reducir la dependencia energética del exterior de modo que, ante riesgos naturales debidos a los efectos del cambio climático, estos territorios tengan garantizado el acceso y suministro de energía. Para ello, se realizará, previamente, un diagnóstico del modelo energético actual, analizando los riesgos y vulnerabilidades a los que están expuestos, con el fin de poder aplicar medidas concretas para su óptima adaptación al cambio climático. Las líneas de actuación del proyecto están encaminadas a fomentar la explotación de las nuevas economías sostenibles (Circular, Azul y Baja en Carbono), adaptar las infraestructuras energéticas al cambio climático y reducir el consumo de energía de los diferentes sectores.
