Description (EN):

The primary goal of the research study is to identify current partners and define focus areas within industrial symbiosis on the Norwegian and Swedish side within agriculture, forestry and the aquaculture industry. The preliminary study shall clarify the realism in and possibly form the basis for a main project. The target group for the main project is intended to be industries/companies that have residual products or that want to use residual products in synergy with each other. The project is also aimed at natural farming high schools to share knowledge and experience. The working method will be based on two major study visits where the business needs and infrastructure for biorefinery are studied on the Swedish and Norwegian sides, followed by a detailed continuous dialogue about the various business needs, challenges, and limitations for circulating residual streams within the businesses. The preliminary study's final report will constitute an up-to-date analysis of residual streams from forest industrial activities as well as from the fish farming industry with the identification of innovative conversion combinations to enable a blue-green circular cycle.
