Description (EN):

Overal objective: To support social integration by fostering sustainable sport exchanges in order to increase participation of people with physical disabilities in sports in the border region. Project purpose: Creating preconditions for sport development aimed at people with physical disabilities through procurement of sports equipment and increase of professional competences and institutional capacities; Specific objective: Promoting parasports on disability-specific sport events. The following activities were implemented: - Procurement of sports equipment for local sports organizations working with physically disabled athletes - Procurement of transport vehicle for disabled persons - Organization of workshops for sport professionals - Promotional training with disabled athletes - Research on participation of people with physical disabilities in sports in the border region - Development of teaching material - Assignment of 4 sport assistants to local sport associations - Starting of Initiative for the organised sport engagement of people with disabilities in programme area. - Organization of symposium - Organization of exhibition matches - Project management

Achievements (EN):

- Sports equipment needed for the training process of physically disabled athletes procured - Sport professionals trained for work with physically disabled athletes - Sport assistants assigned to local sport associations in order to support development of sport opportunities for the physically disabled - Two symposiums organized on the subject of physically disabled people in sports - One exhibition matches organized for promotion of parasports

18 of sets of equipment purchased and made available to target groups 2 vehicles for transportation of disabled persons will be procured 2 two-day workshops to train 20 sport professionals 10 Promotional trainings with disabled athlete’s held 2 Research on participation of people with physical disabilities in sports in the border region 2 teaching materials developed 4 Sport assistants assigned to local sport associations 1 awareness raising campaigns for the promotion of sport events 2 symposium held 1 exhibition matches organized for promotion of parasports
