Description (LT): Technologijų šuolis lėmė pokyčius visuomenėje.
Remiantis unikalia projekto partnerių patirtimi sukurti naują tobulesnį skaitmeninių veiklų centro modelį;
Įsigyti ir įdiegti inovatyvias virtualios realybės, judesio atpažinimo, ibeacon, robotų ir 3D technologijas;
Sukurti šioms technologijoms skirtą interaktyvų skaitmeninį turinį panaudojant bibliotekose sukauptus krašto istorijos ir pažinimo išteklius;
Parengti naujos paslaugos teikėjus – technologijų mentorius;Sukurti vieningą paslaugos metodologiją.
Projekto išskirtinumas – nauja paslauga į aukštesnį lygį pakels egzistuojančias skaitmeninių kompetencijų ugdymo praktikas:
Technologinis raštingumas bus suprantamas plačiau – kaip pozityvus nuolatinis technologijų pažangos pažinimas;
Bus skatinamas šeimų ir skirtingų kartų bendras mokymasis kartu ugdant ir moralines vertybes bei stiprinant bendruomenes;
Read more Description (LV): Lēciens tehnoloģiju attīstībā veicis būtiskas izmaiņas sabiedrībā.
Izmantot unikālu visu četru bibliotēku pieredzi, lai izveidotu DigiCentra modeli;
Iegādāties un uzstādīt inovatīvu virtuālo realitāti, kustību atpazīšanu, Ibeacon sensorus, robotus un 3D programmēšanas tehnoloģijas;
Izveidot interaktīvu saturu, pamatojoties uz esošiem kultūras mantojuma un novadpētniecības resursiem;
Apmācīt DigiCentru personālu jauno pakalpojumu sniegšanā - nozīmēt tehnoloģiju mentorus;
Izveidot vienotu DigiCentru mācīšanos metodiku.
Jaunā pakalpojuma unikālais aspekts ir tas, ka DigiCentri pārveidos esošo digitālo kompeteņču attīstības prakses:
Digitālās prasmes būtu jāsaprot plašākā nozīmē - kā pozitīvs aspekts nepārtrauktai tehnoloģiskai attīstībai.
Tas veicinās ģimenes un paaudžu mācīšanos attīstot pašapziņu, morālās vērtības un sekmēs saliedētākas kopienas;
Read more Description (EN): A leap in technology development brought major changes to the society. The lack of digital literacy skills is becoming a major problem. Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) has carried out a research and revealed that even though the general competences of the population in the Baltic region are sufficient, problem solving skills invoking technologies are less than the average.
With a purpose to reduce this problem, 4 libraries joined their forces for a project. Its objective is to adapt different practices the libraries have and use that as a base to create new public service – Family Digital Activity Hubs (DigiHubs). DigiHubs would serve as technology cognition centers to people of various age, gender and social status.
When creating the new public service, it is planned to:
Use unique experience of all four libraries to create a DigiHub model;
Purchase and install innovative virtual reality, movement recognition, ibeacon, robots and 3D programming technologies;
Create interactive content based on the existing heritage and local lore resources:
Train DigiHubs‘ personnel on providing new services – assign technology mentors;
Create a uniformed learning in DigiHubs methodology.
The unique aspect of the new service is that DigiHubs will transform the existing digital competences development practices:
Digital literacy would be understood in a broader sense – as a positive aspect for continuous technological development.
It will prompt family and intergenerational learning developing confidence, moral values and enabling more cohesive communities;
The new service will be a mediator between digital technologies developers and society - it will help science and industries to reach target audiences.
People will be provided with an opportunity to get acquainted with scientific progress in technologies, their application in daily life, and benefits for society‘s welfare.
Read more Achievements (EN): The main goal to establish the new public service in four Latvian and Lithuanian libraries was achieved by successful implementation of the project. Family Digital Activity Hubs (DigiHubs) started working in Utena, Zarasai, Daugavpils and Preili libraries in February of 2019. These Hubs function as technology cognition centers for local people of various age.
The following results were achieved by implementing the project:
Experience exchange among Latvian and Lithuanian libraries: two experience exchange seminars and two study trips were organized, 105 librarians participated and improved their qualifications.
DigiHubs spaces were planned out and established in all 4 libraries, all needed equipment purchased and installed: furniture, computers, interactive screens, 3D printers, Lego Mindstorms robots, Kinect, virtual reality and interactive bicycle sets.
Special educational content was created:
Virtual reality tour “Utena-Zarasai-Daugavpils-Preili”;
Interactive bicycle tour “What can you discover when cycling in Eastern Lithuania and Southern Latvia?”
Interactive Kinect quiz;
Mobile application “Ibeacon library and Latvian-Lithuanian literature guide”.
Mentors for the DigiHubs were trained. They finished training courses on 3D and Lego Mindstorms robots, the use of virtual reality, interactive bike, Kinect and ibeacon guide. As a result, they are now able to provide assistance and training for DigiHubs‘ users.
Methodology means on 3D programming, Lego Mindstorms, virtual reality and instructions on Kinect, interactive bike and ibeacon guide were developed. They will be used as guidelines for organizers and trainers of DigiHubs activities. All methodology means are available online for public use: https://joom.ag/kqua
